It's official, White Manor is a Platform Tennis (Paddle) Club!

Paddle Tennis brings many benefits to White Manor including the opportunity for Inter-Club competition, socials and clinics along with the ability to be outdoors and active during the winter months! The Tennis complex includes six fast dry Har-Tru courts, equipped with underground water management systems. The courts are available for member and guest use from Spring to Fall, depending on weather conditions.

Play is very strong with competitive women's interclub teams, men's tennis and a highly-rated junior tennis program. Players of all levels take advantage of the many opportunities for social tennis, including round robins throughout the season, drop-in tennis nights and "Play with the Pro" events.

What is Platform/Paddle Tennis?

Platform tennis, also called paddle tennis, is a racquet sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is the only racquet sport that is played outdoors in cold weather. Paddle can be highly competitive or can be played purely for fun. Paddle is best described as a miniature version of tennis. The court is a fourth of the size of a tennis court. Paddles are used to hit a spongy/solid ball and many of the rules found in tennis apply (including scoring). One big difference is that in paddle the wire enclosure that surrounds the courts allows a fast-moving ball to bounce back to a player to continue the rally.

Tennis

The Tennis complex includes 5 Har-Tru courts, equipped with underground water management systems. The courts are available for member and guest use from Spring to Fall, depending on weather conditions. We have a very active tennis program with Ladies, Mens and Junior Interclub matches. We also have many USTA teams play out of White Manor on the Mens and Ladies side. We offer a wide variety of camps, clinics, private lessons, and socials for all ages and abilities.

 

Paddle

We have two paddle or platform tennis courts offered at White Manor with a nice viewing / warming hut attached. Paddle is technically a winter sport but the courts are open all year round. Equipped with lights, you can enjoy this social game at night as well! We have a very active paddle community with competitive mens and ladies interclub teams.
 

Pickleball

New to White Manor we now have 4 dedicated pickleball courts with a brand new viewing deck attached. Pickleball has exploded in the racquets world and we are proud to say our new courts turned out great. We have many weekly clinics, private lessons and open plays offered. We also have an In-House pickleball league that will happen annually.
 

Pro Shop

Our racquets pro shop is fully equipped with everything you need to play and look your best on the courts. We also offer racquet stringing with a state of the art Babolat stringing machine. We have brands from Adidas, Babolat, Wilson, Adisson Bay, Rhone, Holbrook Pickleball to name a few. Please stop by our shop for all your White Manor logo ’ed racquets gear!
